1.49m vaccine doses given
About 1,491,900 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 952,100 people receiving their first dose and about 539,800 getting their second dose.
Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 438,800 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 513,300 people have received the BioNTech one.
For the second dose, about 320,100 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 219,600 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.
About 4,000 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.
Among them, about 3,500 people received the jab at community vaccination centres (CVCs), while about 500 people were inoculated at private doctors and clinics participating in the programme.
Around 4,600 people received their second dose of the Sinovac vaccine today, including about 4,400 people vaccinated at CVCs and about 300 people through private doctors and clinics.
For the BioNTech vaccine, about 11,700 people received their first dose at CVCs and about 17,100 people received their second dose.
The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at CVCs is 96%, while it is 97% for the BioNTech one.
As of 8pm, about 4,000 people had booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 15,500 had reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech jab.
As of midnight, 10 people were sent to hospitals.
