Chief Executive Carrie Lam today continued her trip to Chongqing with visits to enterprises and various facilities to learn more about the city's latest developments.   She first toured Hong Kong investment project the Ring which officially opened in April. It comprises a shopping mall, retail streets, Grade A office buildings and an indoor botanic garden, integrating the natural ecosystem into the business experience with the concept of sustainable development.   Mrs Lam noted that Hong Kong enterprises have attached more importance to high-quality development in their Chongqing investments in recent years, adding that along with the establishment of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, there are more business opportunities for Hong Kong enterprises there.   The Chief Executive’s next stop was the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute where she viewed a simulated traffic accident testing demonstration.   She also learnt about its business of industrialised production, including the establishment of the country's first 5G autonomous driving public service platform.   Mrs Lam then toured the Lijia Smart Park in the Liangjiang New Area including an exhibition gallery to promote the concept of smart home and smart office as well as artwork presented with digital technology.   The Liangjiang New Area is the first national-level inland development area in the Mainland.   Pointing out that Hong Kong has the advantage in the high-end services industry, Mrs Lam expressed hope that its enterprises and professionals could participate in the area’s development.   In the afternoon, Mrs Lam visited the Chongqing Planning Exhibition Gallery and the Chongqing Hongyan Revolutionary Memorial.   She will leave for Xi'an tomorrow.
