Kevin Yeung visits Guangzhou

Flower show blooms to be distributed

Following the Hong Kong Flower Show’s conclusion on March 19, some of the flowers on display will be distributed to the public next Monday, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department announced.   Flowers that are still in good condition and suitable for replanting will be given out to citizens at 10am next Monday at Victoria Park's South Pavilion Plaza (near Sugar Street entrance). It is estimated that about 3,000 pots will be distributed, subject to the plants' conditions.   Each person can get one pot on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last. Energy efficiency meeting held

Govt rejects EU official’s remarks

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government today said it strongly disapproved of and firmly rejected the scandalising of the Hong Kong SAR’s criminal justice process concerning National Security Law cases by a spokesperson for the European Union Foreign Affairs & Security Policy.   In a statement this evening, the Hong Kong SAR Government strongly urged the relevant EU official to immediately stop acting against international law and the basic norms of international relations, and interfering in Hong Kong affairs and China’s internal affairs at large.   It said that as guaranteed by the Basic Law and the Hong Kong Bill of Rights, all defendants charged with a criminal offence have the right to and will undergo a fair trial by the Judiciary.   The courts decide cases strictly in accordance with the evidence and all applicable laws. Education chief to visit Guangdong

Secretary for Education Choi Yuk-lin will depart on Wednesday for Dongguan, Guangzhou and Shenzhen to learn about the development of education there and the study life of Hong Kong students in the Mainland, the Education Bureau announced today.   She will meet representatives from the Department of Education of Guangdong Province and students studying in Mainland higher education institutions.
